This is not a book about the Zodiac Killer.

This is not a book about the Zodiac Killer. Hundreds of books, articles, movies, television shows and much more are out there if you want to know about the Zodiac Killer. It is a tale that has been told and retold, written and rewritten, thousands of times. This is something you have never seen before, even if you follow this subject. While the book must cover the basics of the case and introduce new readers to just exactly what a "Zodiac Killer" is, what he did, and the many letters he had written, the bulk of the book is dedicated to something completely new that most have never seen. Zodiac mailed a map to he newspapers and police with one of the many letters he had written. This map was completely blank except for a compass that had drawn over a place called Mt. Diablo. Zodiac said this map could be used to find an alleged "string of bombs" he had planted beside of a road somewhere waiting for a school bus to go by. He also said this map somehow involved something called "radians". But no one knew how to use a blank map to find marked locations. For over half a century this remained a mystery, until now. A bomb schematic sent by the mad man and puzzle maker turned out to be one of the keys for this map, one of a couple. An overlay key. Using a method that has been used throughout history. Many examples can of this method can be found and this method is also taught in the military. He created a map overlay disguised as a bomb drawing. When two points on this drawing are aligned with two points on the map, one being the compass, marked locations can be revealed as well as a section of highway marked with a string of bombs. Whether these bombs were real or not is beside the point (but you would think that the world would want an answer to that question) , what the real mystery and importance of these places are is another question entirely. Zodiac was most famous for the codes he created to taunt the police and not the murders he committed. Only one of his codes was ever said to have been solved while several others remain a mystery to this very day. His most famous unsolved code is called the '340 code'' for the 340 symbols that comprise the code in a grid like formation. This book will also delve into the possibility that this code is also an overlay key for this map and it is used to find the long sought after "radians" that Zodiac said we would find. Clues and evidence from his letters go to support this very idea. That is for you to decide. Don't believe what I tell you. Believe what I show you. Believe your own eyes. This may be the key that someone uses to solve the mystery once and for all..

This book will show you. It's all about a mysterious map. A map created by a serial killer, that once unlocked, reveals the marked locations of bombs, murders, and mystery. It all started in San Francisco in the summer of 1969, when a butcher calling himself "The Zodiac", mailed this map along with a series of codes to police and newspapers. The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated in the northern California and San Francisco Bay areas in the late 1960's and 70's. He sent a number of codes. letters, and a map to taunt the police and frighten the public. Only one of his codes was ever solved and may yet hold untold secrets. If you are the kind of person who likes crossword puzzles and brain teasers but you are bored of the same old things that in the end don't mean anything after you solve them, and want to try out your talent on something real; then this is the book for you. My name is Randall Clemons and I have been researching the Zodiac and his codes for the last ten years. In this book, I will show you how his codes are not what they seem. I will show you how they work with his map in a series of overlays and how they may connect to an unsolved murder of a girl named Susan Nason. He sent two bomb drawings, one of which is also a map overlay and one shows signs it is to be folded. The one that matches the map in an overlay is a threat against a school, and the place it marks is a school. It also marks a section of highway with a string of bombs. In this book I tell you the basic story, introduce you to the kinds of codes and puzzles I think Zodiac copied as well as where he got the idea from. Then you will be familiarized with the codes and what I have found which will amaze you. The puzzle still isn't finished and I need your help to solve the Zodiac Killer Enigma. I will show you how his codes are all connected to one another and how they are not just limited to his known codes but how they are hidden all throughout his letters for people to discover. In this Part 1 of a two-part series, you will read and learn all of that while being fascinated at the same time. In part two of this two-part series, you will see all of his letters in their entirety for you to read and study so you can do your own code-breaking and puzzle solving. Zodiac meant for all of these letters to be published in the papers so the people in the general public could find his riddles and solve his puzzle and maybe even catch him. The majority of his letter was kept from the public for years, so the codes were never solved like he intended. they couldn't be because the people trying to solve them did not have all of the puzzle pieces. I will show you a whole new take on the Zodiac codes and that anyone, even you are capable of figuring them out and solving the rest of the puzzle. Part two of this series also exhibits all of the crime scene and victim photos, and they have been colorized. It also has a Department Of Justice Special Report, handwriting comparisons and more for the reader to study and investigate. You can become an amateur sleuth and code breaker after you see what I have to show you. So if you like mystery, puzzles, codes, true crime, then you need to read this book and maybe you can even solve the rest of the puzzle, and remember, Zodiac was never captured. He could still be out there today. he could be your next-door neighbor, he could be the man standing behind you a the grocery store, he could be your one of your friends or family. so take a look at what I have to show you and try the codes for your self, who knows what you will find? May you even find him?

On December 20th 1968 a young courting couple innocently parked their car on a remote Lake Herman road and were brutally shot to death, on the 5th July 1969 once again a young courting couple parked their car on Blue Rock Springs and were savagely shot to death. By a man who named himself, 'Zodiac.' He went on with his killing spree and ignited the media with his taunting of the Californian police with his letters and indecipherable codes. He never was caught and he goes down in the annals of crime, just as elusive as 'Jack the Ripper, ' with his calling card 'The Zodiac is speaking.' This book examines this case uncovering some startling new evidence in the cracking of the killer's code.
American Ripper is the true story of Gerard John Schaefer, a Florida Law Enforcement Officer who was a prolific serial killer in the late 1960's early 1970's.
Author: Patrick Kendrick
American Ripper is the true story of Gerard John Schaefer, a Florida Law Enforcement Officer who was a prolific serial killer in the late 1960's early 1970's. The decade that was thought to be filled with "Love, Peace and Happiness," became a new dark age, breeding more serial killers than any other time in U.S. history, including Charles Manson, the Zodiac Killer, the Son of Sam, John Wayne Gacy and Ted Bundy, who was held in the same prison as Schaefer and whom he both idolized and resented for the recognition his crimes brought him; a recognition Schaefer never received. This book chronicles Schaefer's life, education, his career as a cop, and his path to become a sadistic murderer. Based on empirical, extensive research that includes reviews of the case's investigation and subsequent trial, interviews with families of victims, numerous police and attorneys involved with the case, forensic doctors, and the killer himself, the author attempts to discern how Schaefer became the antithesis of what a lawman should be. Schaefer's metamorphosis can never be rationally explained, but reviews of the case's transcripts, the killer's psychiatric evaluations, and the author's own experience with Schaefer help paint a picture of an unfettered mind that fed on its own darkness. The case also reveals an incredible and inborn weakness of then-law enforcement, a lack of shared information, and an inherent and global disbelief that monsters, such as serial killers were so abundant. Much has changed since the so-called "hippie generation," but a time that should have been filled with hope became an era that was infested with enigmas such as Gerard Schaefer. Patrick Kendrick is the best-selling author of Extended Family and the award-winning Papa's Problem.

When Henry Debosnys arrived in Essex, New York, the sleepy town was unprepared for the string of dark events that trailed the exotic European stranger. Within weeks of his appearance, he had romanced wealthy widow Betsey Wells, charming her friends and children and presenting the picture of an ideal new family at their spur-of-the-moment wedding. Yet when authorities discovered Betsey's mangled body in a nearby forest, Debosnys's image as a caring family man began to unravel. During his incarceration, Debosnys slowly revealed himself to be a genius fluent in six languages, a master cryptographer and the murderer of at least two previous wives. As the scrutiny on Debosnys intensified, he began producing coded messages, allegedly confessions to a lifetime of villainy. Author Cheri Farnsworth reveals never-before-seen evidence of this Upstate tragedy, including reproductions of the legendary, unsolved Debosnys cryptograms, in an effort to finally uncover the truth about this depraved con man. The only question that remains is who will be the first to crack the "Debosnys Code"?

A mathematical tour of some of the greatest unsolved ciphers of all time In 1953, a man was found dead from cyanide poisoning near the Philadelphia airport with a picture of a Nazi aircraft in his wallet and an enciphered message taped to his abdomen. In 1912, a book dealer named Wilfrid Voynich came into possession of an illuminated cipher manuscript once belonging to Emperor Rudolf II, who was obsessed with alchemy and the occult. Wartime codebreakers tried—and failed—to unlock the book’s secrets, and it remains an enigma to this day. In this lively and entertaining book, Craig Bauer examines these and other vexing ciphers yet to be cracked. Some may reveal the identity of a spy or serial killer, provide the location of buried treasure, or expose a secret society—while others may be elaborate hoaxes. He lays out the evidence surrounding each cipher, describes the efforts to decipher it, and invites readers to try their hand at puzzles that have stymied so many others.
Enter the secret world of codes - from Voynich to Enigma and Kryptos - and unravel a brand new code.
Author: Richard Belfield
From the earliest days of mankind, people have sought to pass on secret messages via code - and for almost as long, cryptographers have tried to break the codes. Most famous of all were those at Bletchley Park who managed to break the Nazis' 'unbreakable' Enigma code. This fascinating and intriguing book examines some of the most difficult codes in history that have withstood years of investigation and shows the reader how they too can learn to solve or create almost any code. Sometimes, as with the notorious Zodiac Killer or the Voynich Manuscript, the codes remain unsolved, or as with Kryptos in the CIA's headquarters only 90 per cent has been decoded. In the final element of the book, working with a team of top cryptographers, the author has devised his own code, based on the techniques that have been revealed throughout the book, and invites the reader to crack the code...

Easily Accessible to Students with Nontechnical Backgrounds In a clear, nontechnical manner, Cryptology: Classical and Modern with Maplets explains how fundamental mathematical concepts are the bases of cryptographic algorithms. Designed for students with no background in college-level mathematics, the book assumes minimal mathematical prerequisites and incorporates student-friendly Maplets throughout that provide practical examples of the techniques used. Technology Resource By using the Maplets, students can complete complicated tasks with relative ease. They can encrypt, decrypt, and cryptanalyze messages without the burden of understanding programming or computer syntax. The authors explain topics in detail first before introducing one or more Maplets. All Maplet material and exercises are given in separate, clearly labeled sections. Instructors can omit the Maplet sections without any loss of continuity and non-Maplet examples and exercises can be completed with, at most, a simple hand-held calculator. The Maplets are available for download at www.radford.edu/~npsigmon/cryptobook.html. A Gentle, Hands-On Introduction to Cryptology After introducing elementary methods and techniques, the text fully develops the Enigma cipher machine and Navajo code used during World War II, both of which are rarely found in cryptology textbooks. The authors then demonstrate mathematics in cryptology through monoalphabetic, polyalphabetic, and block ciphers. With a focus on public-key cryptography, the book describes RSA ciphers, the Diffie–Hellman key exchange, and ElGamal ciphers. It also explores current U.S. federal cryptographic standards, such as the AES, and explains how to authenticate messages via digital signatures, hash functions, and certificates.
